How many BTUs do I need to heat my building?




  • Zone 1
    30-35 BTUs per sq. foot
  • Zone 2
    35-40 BTUs per sq. foot
  • Zone 3
    40-45 BTUs per sq. foot
  • Zone 4
    45-50 BTUs per sq. foot
  • Zone 5
    50-60 BTUs per sq. foot
The average properly engineered and insulated 2000sq.ft. building in Zone 1 would need 60-70,000BTUs to be adequately heated.

The same 2000sq.ft. building in Zone 5 would need 100-120,000BTUs to be adequately heated.
